The Making of the Boy : Modeling

Around 2 weeks ago, I was really bored.
Then I saw my notebook and at that point I considered to write something, maybe some ideas for a game.
I started to think about what to write, as I had no idea at all. Then I started to think about some tragic thing that usually pops-up in my head while I'm daydreaming. Those are what I wrote. One thing that comes to my head was a boy, that faces some tragic things.

From that point, I started to draw some things about the game, and I ended up thinking about making the character 2D. But I have no idea how to draw a character for a 2D game. Not giving up, I tried 3D, with the idea of using cel-shading (a.k.a toon shading)

Finally I started to model this character, with Blender. It took me 2 weeks from the day I was bored. Why took so long? Because I was making the model and learning the program at the same time. There was a lot of trial-and-error that made a very short process became very long, even too long.

Below there, is a pictures gallery of the process of the modeling for the character.
Before that, check out these renders :) (rendered with Cycles)
(For reference pictures, check them out in my DeviantART)

UPDATE 2:

That orange (or red) box, makes me really sad. haha.
I'll re-upload the whole thing without slideshows. And I have both good and bad news.
The good news is, It's free. There's no limitation and it will stay forever.
The bad news is...
...
